He works regularly with leaders in the professional sports world, helping them navigate rapidly changing sports culture and a widening divide between the front office in the field. He speaks often at NCAA and NFL team gatherings, men's and marriage conferences, and corporate leadership meetings

He is also the founding pastor of Messiah community church, a growing community of Christ's followers who are committed to healing and strengthening families through faith in Jesus Christ. Messiah, under pastor Rod's leadership is a church where families of any size, with any challenges can become salt and light in a society of decaying family life and values.
Ron also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Freeman Institute and As One foundations, lending his experience, passion, and wisdom for the sake of building healthy cultures and encouraging disadvantaged children in the Bahamas. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and a native of North folk, Virginia. Rod and his wife of 20 years, Sheri, live with their four children in the Baltimore Maryland area.
