Pastor Tarone Claybrook
Pastor Tarone Claybrook was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, raised in West Los Angeles, and currently resides in Boardman Ohio, and San Diego California. He has been married to wife Danetta for over 20 years. The couple has a blended family of five, with a range of thirteen years. Both own a pediatric rehab company, specializing in speech language and occupational therapy school-based, and clinical-based treatment for children with developmental delays, autism, cognitive disabilities, emotional disturbances, and sensory integration disorders.
He completed graduate school at the University of Southern California (U.S.C.), known as the foremost division in the country, in occupational therapy. He has an undergraduate degree from California State University Northridge (C.S.U.N.), where he studied Health Administration and Accounting. Pastor Tarone furthered his education, with pre-doctoral studies at Cal Poly Pomona and ministries studies, at Fuller Theological Seminary/UCLA. He also attended Venice and Culver City High Schools, where he received a scholarship in Computer Science Engineering.
Pastor Tarone’s family and friends know him, as a passionate, fiery, yet sensitive prophetic exhorter, and jack of all trades, who loves to speak, teach, research and write. His diversity in skills, experience and education are as unique as his “Heinz 57” family heritage, that he traces back hundreds of years to English, Irish, West African, West Indian, Italian, Jewish, French, Greek, Cherokee and Shawnee roots.
Similarly, his vocational experience in ministry includes serving as a Senior Pastor, Associate Minister, Outreach &Youth Pastor, Prison Minister, and Bible Study Teacher from California to Ohio, starting at the age of 19. Most of his early biblical discipleship learning was under the ministries of Dr. euGene Scott, Jack Hayford, Bill Gothard, John MacArthur, and Dorothy Evans. He also credits influences in his life with Darryl Claiborne, Robin Hayden, Joyce Meyers, J Vernon McGee, David L. Thomas, Lock P Beachum Jr., Josh McDowell, Charles F Stanley, Ada Byron Claybrook, Mary Margaret Claybrook, and hundreds of books, tapes and pamphlets. Currently, he is a part of the leadership team of the Victory Christian Center multi-campus ministries, in Liberty Ohio. He also attends Shadow Mountain Commnity Church, in San Diego, pastored by Dr. David Jeremiah.
He is avid writer of film screenplays, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, exhortations and maxims, "with a twist, to have the reader taken with practical wisdom, anger or tears of joy towards change, by putting flesh and blood, within common bible stories”. He is currently finishing five books “The Prodigal Son’s Girlfriend”, “The Royal Genealogy of A Slave Girl”, “The Goode Life”, “Tell ‘Em” and “Key Ingredients to Making Godly Decisions” to be released in 2015. His current completed screenplays are “The Decision (Thomas A Dorsey Story)”, “Big Red”, “Blackenstein... A Love Story”, “Wake-Up Call”, “Delivered”, “The Last Vial” and several more in development. As Executive Producer, he is also set to release a children CD entitled “Kids Praise On”, where in character he performs a track, entitled “Maranatha”. For years, he has been a desired eclectic radio guest on a variety of topics, with live broadcasting in California, Hawaii, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Lastly, he serves on several non-profit boards; Board President of Stambaugh Charter/National Heritage Academy (Youngstown, Ohio); Board Treasurer of Bithra Foundation for the Arts (Oakland, Calif.) and Board President of Calloway Family Educational Foundation (Bedford, Virginia).
